Is Bright Play Days free?

Yes, all of it. There is nothing to sign up for and no paywall. The site is paid for by advertising and by affiliate commission on some product links — both of which are explained in the affiliate disclosure.

What age is this site for?

Activities are written for children roughly between two and eight. Each one gives a suggested age range, and most include notes on making it simpler for a younger child or harder for an older one.

Ages are a starting point, not a rule. You know your child; if an activity for five-year-olds suits your three-year-old, use it.

What do the labels on each activity mean?

• Prep — how long it takes *you* to set up before your child can start.
• Activity time — roughly how long it holds their attention.
• Mess — how much there is to clean up afterwards, honestly rated.
• Location — whether it needs to be indoors, outdoors, or works either way.
• Difficulty — how much adult help it needs.

Do I need to buy special supplies?

Almost never. The site is built around things most homes already have: paper, tape, water, cardboard, pegs, flour, string. Where an activity does need something specific, it says so at the top, before you have read the steps.

Are the activities safe?

Each activity notes anything worth watching for, such as small parts, scissors, or water. They are written to be done with an adult nearby.

You are the person who knows your child, your home and what they put in their mouth. Please use your own judgement, and supervise accordingly.

Can I use these activities in my classroom or setting?

Yes. Teachers, childminders and nursery staff are very welcome to use anything here with the children in their care. Please link back rather than copying the text onto another site.

Can I share an activity on Pinterest?

Please do — that is what the save buttons are for. Pinning an image that links back to the original page is welcome. Republishing the instructions as your own content is not.

Do you give advice about my child's development?

No. We write play ideas, not developmental, behavioural or medical advice. If you have a concern about your child, your health visitor, GP or paediatrician is the right person to ask.

How do you choose the products you recommend?

Only products that make a specific activity easier, and only ones we would suggest to a friend. We do not invent ratings, review counts or testing claims. The full reasoning is in how we choose products.

Do you collect any information about my child?

No, and we do not want any. There are no child accounts, no birthdays, no photographs and no location. The privacy policy sets out exactly what is and is not collected.
