How we write, check and update activities
What you can expect from anything published here, and what we do when we get something wrong.
Every activity is written to be used
An activity is only published when it can actually be followed: a real list of materials, steps in the order you do them, and an honest note about what tends to go wrong. If we cannot write those, the activity is not ready.
Age ranges are guidance, not gatekeeping
Ages on this site describe the children an activity usually suits. Children vary enormously, and you know yours. Treat the range as a starting point and adjust.
Supervision and safety
Activities that involve small parts, water, heat, scissors or anything else worth thinking about carry a safety note. Those notes are not legal advice and they are not a substitute for your judgement — you are the adult in the room.
We do not fabricate
We do not invent testimonials, review counts, follower numbers, awards, or claims about testing that did not happen. If we have not tried something, we say so.
Updating and correcting
Pages carry a last-updated date. When something changes — a product is discontinued, an instruction turns out to be unclear, a link dies — we change the page rather than quietly leaving it.
If you spot a mistake, please tell us through the contact form. Corrections that change the meaning of a page are noted on the page itself.
Who writes this
Articles carry an author. Author pages say who that person is and what they bring to it. We do not claim professional qualifications that nobody here holds.
