A note on this page. This is a working draft written for a small independent site. It has not yet been reviewed by a lawyer. It describes what we actually do, and we would rather publish that plainly than leave the page empty.
What cookies are
Small files a website stores in your browser. Some are needed for the site to work at all; others are optional.
Cookies we need
- A session cookie, so forms such as the newsletter sign-up and contact form
work and are protected against forgery.
- A small amount of local storage remembering that you dismissed the
announcement bar, so it does not reappear on every page.
These do not identify you and are not used for advertising.

If analytics or advertising is added to this site in future, this page will say what it is, what it sets, and how to refuse it — before it is switched on.
Controlling cookies
Every browser lets you see, block and delete cookies in its settings. Blocking the essential ones will stop forms on this site from working.
